Who am I?

Who am I?

🌸 Meet Joyce — The Heart Behind Joyce Flowers
I grew up in Walnut Creek, California—back when the town still had walnut trees and not just condos named after them. I went to Ygnacio Valley High in Concord, where I met my husband, got married, and eventually found myself single again (life’s funny like that).
Before I ever picked up a pair of floral shears, I spent years in the legal world—working as a Paralegal for AAA and Blue Shield of California, and later managing Legal Affairs at Jamba Juice (yes, the smoothie people). I graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Business and Computer Science, then followed my heart to San Francisco City College’s 3-year floristry program, where I learned the art and science of flowers from the ground up.
After my mom passed away and life threw its share of stress my way, I followed something deeper—creativity, healing, and the beauty of building something meaningful. That path led me to floristry, and eventually to launching two small businesses in Contra Costa County. I’ve spent over a decade designing arrangements, building brands, and delivering beauty across the Bay Area.
I’m also a licensed Realtor, currently writing a book, and—because I never stop learning—studying cybersecurity in my spare time. In 2023, I moved to Brentwood, CA 94513, and I absolutely love how pretty it is here. I live in the Summerset community, where the sunsets are golden and the roses bloom just a little brighter.
Joyce Flowers is more than a business. It’s a love letter to resilience, craftsmanship, and the belief that beauty belongs in everyday life. Whether you’re celebrating, grieving, or just want to brighten someone’s day, I’m here to help you say it with flowers—designed with heart, delivered with hustle.
